We are a small hobby kennel with a limited number
of house-raised dogs, all of which can be seen on this site and breed 0-2 litters per year. Our home is located
on five acres 35 minutes North of Cincinnati, right off I-71 in a rural part of Warren County, Ohio.
Presently, we are specializing in the conformation
ring, but all of our dogs have basic obedience skills and several have earned their AKC Canine Good Citizenship Certificates
as well. We handle our own dogs, showing once or twice a month, at least eight months of the year.
We have been owned by shelties since 1990;
bred our first litter in 2000 and hit the AKC show ring in the Spring of 2001. Ch. Road's End Miss Fit Maggie (Maggie)
is not only the "foundation" of our breeding program, but our first champion finishing in July of 2003. Her daughter,
Ch. Michelty O'Sure Alleluia was our first homebred champion also finishing in 2003 handled by the Sunway Team.
We have since finished two other Maggie offspring; minor pointed two more, finished one grandson, and are now seeing her other
grandchildren earn their championships, with others both major and minor pointed in the ring.
Our goal at Road's End is to not only breed show quality dogs that meet the AKC standard, are healthy,
sound in body and mind with stable temperaments, but that can compete in all venues or be the perfect companion. All our dogs
are fully health tested, our breedings are chosen carefully and we are very concerned about our reputation as an ethical breeder.
Thank you for stopping by and we hope you enjoy
looking at our dogs.
