August updates:

8/22/09  We finally had a few minutes to try and do updates, but our site is unwilling to let us download photos at this time, sooooooo

We will just announce that we have a new little tri hopeful, Phoebe from the Bear x Windy litter whelped June 21, 2009 and bred by Harriet Smith of Waldenwood.

Our second big announcement is to welcome Mona (Road's End Mona Lisa) back to Road's End  - we would like to thank the Flynns (Whiteoak Shelties) and the Rhoades (Laurelen Shelties) for allowing this to happen.  We are very excited to have this beautiful tri Maggie/Toby daughter and look forward to her future.

Pictures & Pedigrees to follow on both, Mona and our little hopeful, Phoebe.

Greta has been bred to AKC/CAN/UKC BISS CH. Bach Belmark on Canvas ("Monet").  Pregnancy not confirmed, expected whelp is mid-September.

Check the newest litter of five Bear puppies at www.waldenwood.net out of Windy (Ch. Avalon Waldenwood Windermere).  They are just adorable and we are very excited about a couple of them.

Chase is now Wedgewood Chase The Wind MX, AXJ, NF.   Chase is from the first litter sired by Bear, bred by Linda Rike.  He is owned and loved by Sandy Covich of Whispering Hills Farm -- this is Sandy's first attempt at agility.  We think they are doing a fantastic job.

Jedi (Karastar Jedi of Starhaven, OA, OJ, MXP3, PAX) is being shown by Julie Desy and in short order has earned 11pts with one major.   As you can see Jedi is also doing extremely well in the performance venues as well. Jedi is from the second litter sired by our Bear, bred by Joann Carruba of Karastar and owned/loved by Carl & Amy Langhorst of Starhaven.  Our congratulations to all.

FYI -- from the third litter sired by our Bear came Ch. Merlyn's Steel Curtain, Blitz, bred by Rusty Cromer of Merlyn's Kennels out of her beautiful Seiko daughter, Capers.

Indy (Greta/Lucky Litter) of the 7 Dwarfs with his owner, Lesley Hardin has earned his CGC and on June 13 at the Obedience Trial In Waynesville, NC took High Scoring Shetland Sheepdog.  Indy has two legs towards his Novice A title -- this is just at a year old.  Congratulations to Indy & Lesley, Way to Go.

--Gader (Road's End Renegade) take Best of Breed Saturday/Sunday  and gets pulled for consideration in the Herding Group on Saturday and on Sunday, Devil Gader showed up and totally blew me off in the Group Ring with his ever lovable clown antics.  He will surely keep me humble--

Wren's Own Page is under Construction

4-20-09 -- Kiki takes Best of Breed at the Licking River Kennel Club under Judge Col. Harold R. Brizee, then onto a Group 3 under respected breeder Judge Charlotte Clem McGowan.

4-19-09 -- Greta takes Reserve Winners Bitch at the Central Ohio Kennel Club show under Judge Robert E. Hawkins, Jr.         This was Greta's first time out since a puppy when she had a really bad scare -- she was not sure about it at all, but came through for us on both days showing quite well despite and we are just thrilled that there is hope of a show career for her.

This weekend sure made up for us not getting to go to the Nationals as we had originally planned.

4-18-09 -- Randy has moved to Tennessee to be with his new family--the Chafins.

Due to other matters we have not been as active in showing recently--hopefully we will be getting out soon -- however we have still been enjoying the companionship of our little family.

Betsie at 9yrs has successfully completed basic obedience and earned her Canine Good Citenzhip Certificate from AKC.  Also Doc, Road's End What's Up Doc (Randy & Wren's little brother) earned his CGC alongside his grandmother.  Congratulations to Jonathan Flannery and Doc for their first achievement as a team.
